Completing a residential or outpatient treatment program is a monumental achievement, but the journey of recovery continues long after you leave. At Empower Health Group, we see recovery as a lifelong partnership, not a one-time event. A strong rehab alumni program is one of the most critical components for building a new, fulfilling, and lasting life. It provides the essential bridge between the structured support of treatment and a future defined by wellness and connection.

We are not just a collection of facilities. We are a unified national family. We are dedicated to providing a continuous, unwavering bridge of support, no matter where you are in your journey. Our commitment is to offer a comprehensive aftercare program that supports every aspect of your new life.

Why a Long-Term Recovery Community Is Essential

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) describes addiction as a chronic, relapsing disorder that requires ongoing management, much like other chronic illnesses such as diabetes or hypertension.² This evidence-based perspective shapes our entire approach. A 30, 60, or 90-day program is just the beginning of healing. We provide this crucial long-term recovery support because we know that sustainable wellness is built over time.

Our program is specifically designed to provide proactive, evidence-based relapse prevention support. It is a foundational part of successfully navigating life after rehab. We place a strong emphasis on support for co-occurring disorders after treatment, ensuring that your mental health remains a priority long after you graduate. This comprehensive approach is what makes our rehab alumni program a pillar of our care model.

The Empower Health Group Alumni: One Family, Coast to Coast

When you graduate from any of our world-class facilities, you become a valued member of the single, unified Empower Health Group alumni family. This national network connects you to a powerful recovery support community. It means you are supported regardless of which Empower facility you started your journey at:

This single community means you share a bond and have access to resources, meetings, and support from coast to coast.

What Our Rehab Alumni Program Offers You

Our program is more than just weekly meetings. It’s a holistic support system built for real life. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) identifies peer support as a vital component of recovery, offering “a source of hope and encouragement” and “a sense of belonging.”³ We have built our entire community on this powerful, evidence-based principle.

This robust peer support for recovery is integrated into everything we do. Our team facilitates group therapy sessions, mentorship opportunities, and informal gatherings, all designed to foster the connections that make recovery sustainable.

A Sober Support Network for Whole-Person Wellness

We help you build new, healthy, and authentic connections. This is not just an addiction alumni program. It is a comprehensive mental health alumni program focused on your total well-being. We understand that mental health and substance use are often deeply intertwined. That is why our dual diagnosis treatment philosophy extends directly into our alumni care. Our rehab alumni program supports you in mind and body, not just in sobriety.

Connection, Growth, and Sober Social Events

We firmly believe that staying sober after rehab means rediscovering joy and finding new ways to have fun. Recovery is not about deprivation. It is about building a life that is more fulfilling than the one you left behind. Our alumni coordinators in each region plan regular sober social events to help you do just that. These events create safe, supportive, and fun atmospheres to build lasting friendships.

These activities may include alumni BBQs and potlucks, sober beach days and park gatherings, virtual game nights, and educational guest speakers. We also organize group outings for activities like bowling, hiking, or attending local events, all within a community that shares your commitment to a healthy life.

Integrating Advanced Therapies into Long-Term Care

Lasting recovery often involves changing the deep-seated thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to substance use and mental health challenges. Our therapy programs are built on proven, evidence-based modalities.

Many of our alumni find continued strength by applying the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps identify and reframe negative thinking, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), which provides powerful skills for managing emotions and improving relationships. Our alumni network provides a space to discuss and reinforce these skills in real-world scenarios.

Local Support, National Connection

We offer a powerful combination of robust in-person support at our local facilities and 24/7 virtual support for our entire national family.

This includes a strong rehab alumni program in Massachusetts for our community, including those graduating from The Grove in Leominster. We also have a vibrant rehab alumni program in South Florida that is based out of our Lantana facility. Our extensive rehab alumni program in Southern California connects our two powerhouse facilities, creating a dedicated sober support network in North Hollywood for White Oak alumni and a tight-knit recovery community in Reseda, CA, for our Southern California Addiction Recovery alumni.

Even if you move, you are never disconnected from your community. You can tap into our national virtual network, join online meetings, and instantly connect with peers. This flexibility is a core part of our rehab alumni program.

We make it easy.
